L.B. Browne is a novelist, playwright, editor, and physician based in New York City. Her work has been published in the Broad Ripple Review, The Sewanee Review, LIT, ABCNews.com, and Public Seminar. She is the 2025 recipient of the Broad Ripple Review Prize in Fiction and currently serves as fiction editor of LIT.

Browne holds an MFA in fiction from The New School, an MS in journalism from Columbia University, and an MD from Duke University. As an undergraduate at NYU, she studied French literature at L’Université Sorbonne Nouvelle in Paris. A Fulbright Fellow and NIH Clinical Research Training Fellow, she was also selected for the La MaMa International Playwriting Workshop in Spoleto, Italy, an acclaimed residency for dramatists that helped inspire her debut novel.
